The provinces in this region have shown substantial growth, which has contributed to the overall strengthening of the national economy, independent of the hydrocarbon industry. Algeria has implemented several policies and strategies aimed at enhancing agricultural practices within the Sahara, including the recent policy on agricultural renewal. The region of Biskra was selected as a case study to analyze the impact of this policy, given its significance to the wider concerns under consideration.
