As a case study, the methodology was applied to the atmospheric heater in the atmospheric distillation unit U-10 at the Skikda petroleum refinery complex. Where we conducted a traditional HAZOP study on the heater, then created the cause-and-effect table for the dynamic simulation. The method provides automated results for interpreting specific phenomena and occurring deviations, enabling workers to respond quickly in order to avoid hazardsenAnautomated HAZOPapplication for risk assessment in petrochemical facilitiesThesis
