Today, people prefer to accomplish services online by a few clicks from the comfort of their places. However, when it comes to booking the next visit to the doctor, it can become a real challenge. Especially during the peak time of COVID-19. As there are not really potentials technologies of Web tools, most of the available services schedule the appointments in old-fashioned ways, and even if some of them use online booking tools, after trying it, you would prefer to make a phone call rather than using them, especially for the semi-literate users. So there is a need to develop a simple, effective, and easy to learn User Interface (UI) of the online appointment system for a productive doctor-patient consultation. This work concerns the improvement of the user experience of an online appointment web application, where all categories of patients especially semi-literate can choose their doctors who are located anywhere in Algeria, and book their appointments. The main goal of this work is to improve the interaction and effectiveness of the online appointments application Mouaidy, for all users, through user-centric design.
