This thesis would not exist without the guidance, generosity, and unwavering commitment of my supervisor, Dr. Sarra Zerkout. From the earliest stages of this research to its final pages, she gave her time, her expertise, and her energy without reservation. Her support went far beyond the academic — she offered encouragement when progress felt slow, clarity when the direction felt uncertain, and a standard of rigour that pushed this work to be better than it would have been without her. In the moments when the weight of this research felt overwhelming, she had a rare and invaluable ability to calm me down and make me feel that everything was going to be alright — and it always was. I am deeply grateful not only for the intellectual guidance she provided, but for the personal investment she made in this research and in me as a researcher. It is a privilege to have worked under her supervision, and I hope this thesis reflects the care she put into it.
