Abstract
Thisgraduationnotefocusesonthetwo-dimensionalcontinuouswavelettransform
(2DCWT)byusingtwodi¤erentscaleparameters (a1; a2), weareabletostretchor
compressthewaveletindependentlyalongthehorizontalandverticaldirections.This
anisotropicscalingo¤ersmore exibilitythanisotropicscaling,whichusesasingle
scalefactor.Infact,itisanaturalgeneralizationoftheideaofwavelettransform.
Thisideamakesthe2Dwavelettransformverynaturalinthestudy.So,mathematical
andappliedresultshavedemonstratedthepowerofthewavelettransforminhandling
convolutionoperations,strengtheningitsroleasane¤ectivetoolforaccurateanalysis
inmultiple elds.
