Simulation de la couche sensible ZnO pour la détection du glucose.
(Université 20 août 1955 Skikda, 2026-07-20) Malek, Sahki . Nadia Malak, Kribeche. Enc. Djalal, SEKHANE.
This thesis focuses on the modeling and simulation of an electrochemical biosensor based on zinc oxide (ZnO), a semiconductor material widely recognized for its chemical stability, biocompatibility, and excellent electrochemical properties. The main objective of this work is to develop a numerical model to investigate the electrochemical behavior of the biosensor and evaluate its performance for glucose detection. The simulations were carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics based on the finite element method, taking into account species transport, electrochemical reactions, and charge transfer at the electrode/solution interface. The biosensor performance was evaluated through several electrochemical characterization techniques, including cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (Nyquist plots), and the variation of current density as a function of glucose concentration. The obtained results demonstrate an improvement in the electrochemical response with increasing glucose concentration, highlighting the effectiveness of the ZnO-sensitive layer. These findings confirm the potential of numerical modeling and simulation for the design and optimization of highperformance electrochemical biosensors for biomedical applications.
